This Wednesday, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the mayors of the country, where the absence of Erion Veliaj was noticed.

CNA reported that Rama had expelled Veliaj from the meeting of mayors, after the harsh attitudes he has held publicly towards him.

The latter, while the meeting was taking place at the Prime Minister's Office, held a ceremony honoring the former US ambassador, Aleksandër Arvizu, with the Key of the City.

It seems that this meeting was clearly a camouflage of Veliaj for the expulsion from Rama.

CNA has learned from sources within the SP that all mayors were notified on July 8, 9 days before today's meeting with Rama.

So, Veliaj had 9 days to make the agenda. In the message sent to the mayors, provided by CNA, it is stated that the presence of each mayor is necessary for the success of the meeting.

How Veliaj used the retired diplomat to hide the expulsion from Rama

This proves once again that Veliaj was dismissed as the head of the government and fabricated the meeting with Arvizu. He has used a retired diplomat to camouflage the cracks between him and the prime minister in public.

Rama seems to have declared Veliaj "non-grata" after successive affairs in the Municipality of Tirana and the arrests of the latter's directors.

After deleting him several times from the photos of the meetings, the head of the government excluded the mayor of Tirana even from an important meeting, such as today's one about the problems in the districts./ CNA
