KPK sacked/ KPA reinstates Tirana's prosecutor

The Special Board of Appeal (KPA) decided this Monday to reinstate the prosecutor of Tirana, Alketa Zifla.

The decision was taken by the body composed of Natasha Mulaj, chairperson, Sokol Çomo, relator, Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama, Rezarta Schuetz, member.

Zifla was dismissed in June 2021 for a social loan he had received at the Municipality of Fier.

As for the cleanliness of the image and professionalism, it was positively evaluated.

Alketa Zifla started her career in the justice system in 1999 and initially worked as a prosecutor in the Tepelena Prosecutor's Office. In 2008, she was appointed prosecutor in Fier, while in 2013 she was transferred to the prosecutor's office in Tirana.

With the ascension of Arta Marku to the head of the General Prosecutor's Office in December 2017, Zifla was appointed head of the cabinet. After Mark's departure, she returned to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana./ CNA
