PD protest, Teliti: Technical government and free elections, the way to come to
Dorian Teliti. PD

The advisor for economic issues in DP, Dorian Teliti, in a statement to the media, stated that the technical government and free elections are the only way to restore democracy.

Referring to the DP protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, he said that the citizens spoke unanimously "united in the battle against injustice, abandonment, misgovernance, clientelism, corruption".

"Creation of the technical government and free and fair elections are the only way to bring back democracy and the rule of law, to return attention to the individual, the citizen and the enterprise", emphasizes Teliti.

Teliti said that PD has a clear program and serious commitment to the economy, starting with the significant reduction of taxes, the adoption of the minimum wage, concrete support for entrepreneurship and local production.

Telit Statement:

Among the main reasons for the depopulation of Albania in these 11 years has been and remains the weak Albanian economy, the economy hit by harmful government policies and practices, the economy increasingly in deep crisis.

Even the government itself is not trying to hide the economic collapse, since it is the government institution itself that formalizes the crisis that has gripped several sectors of the economy.

Two are the most affected sectors: industry and agriculture.

In the publication on the performance of the economy in the first quarter of 2024, INSTAT notes that the industry, energy and water sector recorded the next decline, with an annual decrease of 1.05%, and the agriculture sector suffered a further decrease of 1.73%.

The blow to the industry sector and especially to the processing sector, which is based on Albanian exports, is the clearest indicator of abandonment by the government, especially in these two years where the euro has marked the highest devaluation in post-communist history.

The 6.8% decline of the processing industry, which is practically in the same decline trends as those of last year, where the decrease was 6%, put the lid once and for all on the hopes of hundreds of Albanian entrepreneurs who were waiting for the government to give them support for past the deep crisis of almost 2 years.

Also, the continuous decline of the agricultural sector for several years continues to be very worrying, orienting consumption more and more not to "Made in Albania" products but to imported ones, even from the same handful of oligarch friends, leaving as always, Albania is the last in the region in terms of direct subsidies to the farmer, livestock breeder and the agro-processing industry.

While the crisis is felt everywhere and poverty is increasing day by day, while 47% of Albanian children are malnourished, we have a sector that not only does not recognize the crisis, but shows high growth, and that is the construction sector with an increase of over 14%.

This is the concrete sector of the multi-storey towers of builders closely connected, both with Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj, of concrete that cleanses hundreds of millions of euros every year before crime and corruption.

Albania and Tirana spoke with one voice the day before yesterday, united in the battle against injustices, abandonment, misgovernance, clientelism, corruption.

The creation of a technical government and free and fair elections are the only way to restore democracy and the rule of law, to return attention to the individual, the citizen and the enterprise.
