SPAK seizes the property of Xhaçka's husband/ Berisha: I support any

SPAK has seized a plot of land in the Palace of Artan Gaçi, the husband of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka. Regarding this news, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha said in a media conference that he supports any honest implementation of the law. 

"You compare Artan Gaçi who received as a conscientious investor hundreds and thousands of square meters of public land as a gift from the Minister of Strategy with Begeda Malltez who received his own land after 50 years of confiscation by the communist regime. Can there be a comparison here? No there can be a comparison. I said and I say I support absolutely every action of every employee of the law enforcement bodies, every enforcement of the law, but honest enforcement of the law," said Berisha. 

It is reported that 5512 m2 of land have been seized, part of the land with which Gaçi has acquired the status of a strategic investor. This court order was executed by officers of the National Bureau of Investigation.

SPAK has confirmed that this area of ??land was bought by the husband of the former minister, but its origin is falsified.

We recall that Gaçi was interrogated by SPAK a few weeks ago, specifically on October 6. He was summoned after the report made by Fredi Beleri to the acting mayor of Himara Municipality, Jorgo Goro.

Beleri refers to the audit of the SSC in the Municipality of Himara for the years 2019-2021 where, according to him, violations of the laws were found in the procedures of public tenders, non-collection of revenues and debits in the municipality's budget and in the granting of construction permits in violation with the law./ CNA
