Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has spoken about the arrest and accusations against him and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi.

During an interview with Erla Mëhilli, Berisha stated that from time to time, in order to put pressure on him, they fed journalists to slander and fabricate.

Berisha has called the arrest of his son-in-law a political imprisonment.

"I was notified. Having no documents, they did not have a person in the investigation, because they arrested them as accused of a criminal offense but on suspicion.

From time to time, to put pressure on me, they called journalists paid by them and said that Malltezi would be arrested. They feed journalists paid by them to slander and fabricate," Berisha said./ CNA
