The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted a day after it was reported in the media that SPAK filed charges against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and set the security measure "obligation to appear".

Through a status on social networks, Meta says that this decision is unconstitutional and illegal.

He claims that the judiciary has undertaken actions directed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, violating the Parliament, which provides Berisha with immunity as a deputy.

"The directed justice has undertaken its unconstitutional and illegal actions against the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha by political order of Edi Rama.

These actions, which have violated the Parliament of Albania, require the avoidance of attention from corruption and the very heavy personal responsibilities of Edi Rama for the affair of the incinerators and many other affairs worth hundreds of millions.

The only political goal is the blackmail and intimidation of the opposition, which is persistently denouncing the very bitter truths of the mafia corruption of the Government", the head of the PL emphasizes./ CNA
