Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke to the media after the police officers went to the blue headquarters to inform him of the "compulsion to appear" measure for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex and asked for his passport, as he was banned from going abroad.

Berisha reiterated that these actions are violating the Constitution and limiting their freedom without a decision from the Assembly.

"The Constitution is the Constitution. This was a shameful act of Edi Rama who orders them as mercenaries to kick the Constitution. There is an article, article 73 point 2, which clarifies every action in a crystal clear way, that is, the MP's freedom cannot be restricted in any form without a decision of the parliament", he said.

The head of the Democratic Party announced that the economic crime officers refused to meet him. Berisha declared during a statement to the media that if he met them, he would kick the Constitution.

"Rama is now in a terrible panic, he is panicking because he knows that the movement and the battle is irreversible, he had sent senior officers, not from the prosecution, but the director of economic crime, etc., who could never come, but transformed in mercenaries they can do what they are ordered. I didn't meet them.

I did not have any meeting in person because I will respect the constitution, which prevails. This was Edi Rama's shame.

I didn't meet them at all because I can't accept kicking the constitution because Edi Rama wants it, I can't accept it. If I met them, I would tell Edi Rama to make tea.

Let's not confuse things, what started on Thursday is irreversible. Edi Rama tries to confuse them, but fails. I believe I answered", the former prime minister emphasized./ CNA
