Berisha: I will go to GJKKO only if the measure "obligation to appear"

A few moments ago, Genc Gjokutaj, the defense lawyer of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, arrived at GJKKO to represent the latter in the court session.

On the other hand, Berisha is holding a conference with journalists, who asked him why he did not appear in court today.

The head of the DP says that he will go only if the security measure "compulsory appearance" imposed on him is removed.

He repeated once again that this measure is unconstitutional, as it was taken without approval by the Parliament.

"It's different, it's not that I don't accept it. I declared it before and I declare it again with the greatest sincerity that whenever I am called I will go. Only for the judge to remove the unconstitutional measure and prove whether I will go or not. The imposition of the unconstitutional measure without approval by the Parliament is a violation of the constitution," Berisha emphasized./ CNA
