The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Jozefina Topalli, arrived at the headquarters of the Democratic Party, at noon today, to meet with the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

The former speaker of the parliament is expected to hold a conversation with Berisha. 

A little earlier, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke to journalists about the charges brought against him and about the session that is being held today at GJKKO.

Berisha told the media that he is consulting with the lawyers to take the right steps. Asked if he will participate in today's session, he stated that he is ready to appear for questioning, but emphasized that he cannot agree to violate the Constitution.

Today's session at GJKKO for the privatization file of the former "Partizani" complex will take place at 14:00. 

In this session, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is expected to be questioned as a person under investigation.

Berisha is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", committed in cooperation with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi.

The latter is in the cell, as the GJKKO has assigned the measure of "prison arrest". The Special Prosecutor's Office says that he committed corruption. Meanwhile, for the entrepreneur Fatmir Bekteshi, the measure "obligation to appear" has been imposed. /CNA
