The former speaker of the Assembly, Jozefina Topalli, has considered the actions of the SPAK against Sali Berisha as political, who has been placed under the security measure of "obligation to appear", as he is suspected of being involved in the privatization file of the former complex. Partisan".

In an interview for "Euronews Albania", Topalli emphasized that the Constitution is being violated, which according to her has not happened in the last 30 years. According to her, there is no evidence that Berisha is involved in this file. 

"The recent events are more political than legal. If there is a political process against the leader of the opposition and a process that begins with the violation of the Constitution to obtain the authorization of the Assembly, of course this is an alarm for the opposition and pluralism as a whole. In three decades, it has never happened that the Constitution is not implemented in relation to what is the guarantee of every deputy. In fact, immunity is a guarantee for the opposition. It is a guarantee that he is involved in political debates and has the courage to say important things and is not afraid of opponents who, through threats, prevent them from doing the task for which he was elected. On the other hand, we have not seen any evidence. The main accusation is that the leader of the opposition has changed the law on properties, which was his political program for which it was approved.
