SPAK prosecutors are not saints, they are no less sinners than other people, not simply and only in their work.

Even the prosecutors have lived in that society that has gone through a long transition of corruption and crime, especially the prosecutors of SPAK, the Special Structure that is already seen as the most hopeful institution in the country, is seen as the big change.

When there is no more trust in the government after almost 11 years in power and consumption is normal, when in the divided opposition there are no signs of hope that it can bring change, then a structure with prosecutors, where inside is a different amalgam of characters, as in SPAK has a convincing point of view among the majority of Albanians that it can bring something new.

Prosecutors are not saints, there are also guilty among them. There may be sinners, but there are also miscreants, intentional or not.

They have been severely attacked on several fronts, the majority attacks them through its media, through its people, through concessionaires or by trying to protect its officials.

The opposition attacks them , claiming that there are no full investigations, that there is a revenge against the leadership of Sali Berisha's Democratic Party.

They attack the media, the media connected to crime , paid by him, the media connected to corruption, paid by him, they attack the media fines.

So, to analyze the attacks of the prosecutors and come to a conclusion is quite difficult, although some of the above points clear the water that is often cloudy towards the prosecutors.

The last case was that of Mirel Mërtir with the attack on the prosecutor Klodian Braho.

Mërtiri appeared on the run to accuse a SPAK prosecutor, who in fact had taken the defendants and the court had convicted with facts and evidence the co-habitant Stela Gugallja for the Elbasan incinerator and had also taken Mirel Mërtiri under accusation as the brain of the incinerator of Elbasan and Tirana, or the scriptwriter of the incinerator scheme.

So the attack on Braho was a criminal mafia attack, by a person accused of corruption and crime.

On the other hand, Dritan Prençi, another prosecutor, was attacked. He is no more saintly or innocent than Braho, but surprisingly Mërtiri does not attack him, although Prençi has in his hand the file of the incinerator of Fier and Tirana.

The opposition claims that it did not carry out the investigations well, did not send them to the end, and for this they used a court decision, slow and fruitless investigations.

Someone claims that Braho is under control, someone else says that Dritan Prençi represents the strength of a powerful businessman close to power, someone else accuses another prosecutor and so on, but everything is an amalgam, as we pointed out above.

Let's go to other names, to Edvin Kondili, who although SPAK prosecutor, tried to exonerate Ilir Beqaj. He did not even send his name to the sterilization issue.

Without talking here then about other prosecutors like Arben Kraja, who at the head of SPAK endlessly delayed the investigations about the incinerators.

It was rumored in political and media circles that he had given the guarantee that the files would be closed. Berisha has also been charged. The fact is that during his time, in 3 years, we did not have the results that SPAK has in 6 months, which shows quite a bit of his "failure" in leading SPAK.

On the other side stands Altin Dumani, sometimes attacked and sometimes supported.

Moreover, the media people themselves of the corrupt affairs of the incinerators or of other corrupt scandals sometimes direct the barrel of the attack, and sometimes they lick it by trying small intrigues of schemes and scenarios regarding the associates of the latter.

There are other SPAK prosecutors, such as the case of Behar Dibra or Eneid Nakuçi.

The latter was also attacked by "Top Channel" while investigating the Elbasan incinerator, together with Braho. Both were attacked, the reason is quite simple. "Top Channel" has a partnership with the people of the incinerators, they have come out with dozens of facts, documents that involve "Top Channel" and its owners in the affair.

So, everything seems to be a great mixture of interests, that attacks on prosecutors, or accusations against them from many truths make them very complicated, corrupt, directed by crime or attacks coming from politics for certain interests.

Those prosecutors, as they are saints, are also sinners, as they are honest, they are also corrupt.

Someone can say that they have information about one prosecutor or another and will attack him, will publish the facts. But the question arises: Why these attacks now? And why from those that the prosecutors have under investigation? Is it possible that they were asked to serve them and they did not accept them?

The cases may be different, but that of the incinerators is the most blatant. Therefore, the behavior of the people who publish, accuse or attack the prosecutors must be seen and deeply analyzed.

If they are direct, investigative, journalistic and without pure conflicts of interest, everything is within the right of the media, citizens and anyone who accuses them, but when these become mixed with crime and corruption, they are criminal mafia acts, which more than denunciations against the prosecutors, they should bring investigations of persons who, allegedly in uncovering the truth or in the name of freedom of the media, become part of a criminal group, a corrupt gang and so on for interests that seek to kneel the people of justice.

This is criminal. In different cases, there is no longer any doubt that the accusations and attacks are different, but directed elsewhere with completely mafia goals./ CNA
