Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi was present at the twentieth meeting of the Albania - European Union Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee.
In his speech, the Democratic MP said that Albania has failed to integrate renewable energy.
Këlliçi further said that, referring to studies by the Vienna Institute, Albania needs more than 100 years to reach EU standards in infrastructure and the environment.
" Albania fails to integrate renewable energy. Albania has utilized 50% of its hydropower potential."
Since 2015, more than 2 million euros have been invested in the energy sector, but the network does not provide security.
Currently, Albania does not guarantee security in terms of regulation.
