The future of the CEC/Kaso: 2 different visions, here's how the governing

Democratic MP Ivi Kaso expressed concern today regarding the two different visions that exist regarding the future of the internal organization of the CEC.

In his speech at the Special Commission meeting, Kaso said that in the future format we could see a single body, with a Chief Commissioner with more of a leadership role.

On the other hand, Kaso said that the cooperation of the three bodies is also a delicate mechanism that requires study.

"Regarding the future of the CEC body, at a time when part of the CEC and the commissioner himself has stated that the future format is seen with a single body, with a stronger Commissioner in competences, who adopts rules, but also has the executive responsibility for their implementation. In this context and within that very delicate mechanism of cooperation of the three bodies, which must function to guarantee us a functional CEC. Regarding this, two different visions clash", - said Kaso. /CNA
