New Director of the Port of Durres/ Minister Balluku confirms former Kurti

The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, has confirmed as director of the Port of Durres, Liburn Aliu, former Minister of Environment and Infrastructure in Kosovo.

Balluku said during her speech at the presentation of the new director that Aliu is a person who saw Kosovo and Albania as a common market for economic development.

The Minister emphasized that the Port of Durres is the port of all Albanians and the gateway to the Western Balkans.

"The Port of Durrës, the one in Porto Romano, will continue to be the economic engine. Therefore, the management must be in good and professional hands. Kreshnik Bajraktari will take on another task that we will announce in the coming days. We were government colleagues, and undoubtedly a good colleague who saw Kosovo and Albania as a common market for economic development. I had a conversation with Liburni and asked him if he would be interested in contributing to Albania. He seemed like an interesting proposal and so I took this proposal to the Prime Minister. Edi Rama has worked passionately for Kosovo and Albania. Liburn Aliu is the most prominent of all other Kosovar colleagues with his contribution to the development of Albania. He accepted my proposal because the Port of Durrës is the port of Albanians, not only of Albania, it is the gateway to the Western Balkans ," said Balluku. /CNA
