Two days in a row in Tirana/ The 20th meeting of the Albania-EU Parliamentary

On October 28-29, 2025, the 20th meeting of the Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) between Albania and the European Union will take place in Tirana, as announced by the European Parliament.

The meeting will take place at a hotel in the capital.

Present will be: the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Albania, Wojciech Unolt, on behalf of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, on behalf of the European Commission, as well as the European Parliament's Permanent Rapporteur for Albania, Andreas Schider.

The meeting will take place in two main sessions:

First session

It will be held on October 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and will focus on:

-Albania's accession negotiations with the European Union, foreign policy, good neighborly relations and regional cooperation.

-Progress and challenges in the economic, energy, environmental and tourism sectors in Albania.

Session II

It will be held on October 29, 2025, will take place from 10:00 to 12:30 and will include:

-Progress and challenges of the institutions of the rule of law, the fight against corruption and all forms of crime.

-Respect for human rights, minority rights and media freedom.

-Other issues and discussion on the date and venue of the next KPSA meeting.

The activity will take place in a climate of deepened cooperation between Albania and the European Union, focusing on the progress and key challenges related to the country's EU integration process./ CNA
