Prime Minister Edi Rama today expressed criticism of all countries on the European continent. 

In his speech at the 9th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Rama said that Europe is stuck in a position focused only on armaments and does not have a peace plan.

Rama said that he does not lecture Europe, but as a staunch European he feels very concerned and disturbed by this fact.

"I honestly believe that there is something deeply wrong with the fact that there is a daily rush to rearm, to think and talk and work for more weapons. While there is no peace plan that you can see, read and think about. A Europe that does not have its own peace plan, a Europe that for years put itself on autopilot for the US and when things changed there, it began to rediscover the word ceasefire that had been removed from everyone's vocabulary.

It is stuck in a position that focuses only on armament. And to think not about conversation and about peace is worrying. I am the longest-serving leader among the Europeans, but it is not my place to lecture, but as a staunch European I feel very worried and disturbed by the fact that the word nuclear has become something normal in the dictionary, while just a few years ago, the word was not used by anyone. The threat, implicit or explicit on social media, of the great powers repeating themselves with nuclear missiles on their backs is madness. When you see all this, you understand.

"What he should do or not do has nothing to do with me and Albania, and in fact it's a good thing that at a moment when they screw up, they have the burden themselves, while when they succeed, we can say that we are part of it," Rama said./CNA
