Balla receives the KPSA delegation/ "Albania has benefited from 99.3

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party and the Co-Chair of the Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee, Taulant Balla, hosted the European delegation of the SACP in a meeting at the Presidency of the Assembly. The discussions focused on the process of Albania's European integration, the reforms undertaken, economic developments and the role of the Assembly in this process.

During the meeting, Balla welcomed the adoption of the European Parliament Resolution on Albania, describing it as a clear signal of political support from all groups in the European Parliament for the country's integration process.

" In the plenary session of October 27, 2025, two special commissions were approved, for Electoral Reform and Territorial Reform, with broad cross-party support, evidence of consensus and cooperation for the integration process," Balla said.

Balla also highlighted developments in tourism and the economy. Balla said that Albania has fulfilled 21 of the 41 conditions, securing 99.3 million euros in grants and loans.

“ Albania is experiencing sustainable economic growth. The implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans has brought the most positive assessment in the region. Albania has fulfilled 21 out of 41 conditions, securing 99.3 million euros in grants and loans, ” said Balla.

Regarding the role of the Parliament, he underlined that Albanian institutions are committed to advancing the integration process with transparency and inclusion of the opposition.

"The changes to the law on the role of the Assembly in the European integration process guarantee the inclusion of the opposition and increase parliamentary transparency. The Assembly remains a key actor in monitoring reforms and harmonizing legislation with the EU acquis communautaire," he stressed.
