The first session of the Albania-EU Parliamentary Committee meeting is being

This Tuesday, the first session of the 20th meeting of the Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee: Albania-European Union will be held in Tirana.

This two-day meeting will be held on October 28-29, 2025 in the capital.

The opening of the meeting will take place today, at 3:30 PM, under the leadership of the two co-chairs: Taulant Balla, Head of the delegation of the Albanian Parliament, and Marco Tarquinio, Head of the delegation of the European Parliament.

The meeting will be welcomed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, Elisa Spiropali, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs; Wojciech Unolt, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Albania, on behalf of the Danish Presidency in office of the Council of the EU; Silvio Gonzato, EU Ambassador to Albania, on behalf of the European Commission; Andreas Schider, Permanent Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Albania.

The meeting will then continue with the First Session, which will take place from 17:00–19:30 and will have the following agenda:

1. Membership Negotiations with the European Union, Foreign Policy; Good Neighborly Relations and Regional Cooperation.

2. Progress and challenges in the economy, energy, environment and tourism sectors in Albania.

The second session of this important meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 29./CNA
