The EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, was present at the twentieth meeting of the Albania - European Union Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee.

In his speech, Gonzato said that Albania, within the framework of EU integration, must take measures to implement reforms in a sustainable manner.

The ambassador further stated that sufficient human and financial resources must be allocated for the proper implementation of reforms.

For this, Gonzato said, the Assembly will play an essential role.

" Integration is not just a formal matter, Albania must take measures to implement reforms in a sustainable manner. In all of this, the Assembly has an essential role to guarantee the quality of the process. Democracy is not just about numbers, but also about inclusion. A comprehensive approach in which all political forces, civil society and the citizens themselves play a role.

"For the proper implementation of reforms, sufficient human and financial resources must be allocated. Here the Assembly has an important role to play. Albania should focus its efforts on advancing reforms related to EU integration. The EU is about the integration of people, peoples, who are united by the same rights, equality and freedom ," Gonzato said./CNA
