"Thousands of hectares under water"/ Këlliçi: Floods not

Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi reacted today regarding the situation created in the country by the floods of recent days.

Through a post on social media, Këlliçi states that the situation has turned into a tragedy, as thousands of hectares in the country are under water, as are crops.

Këlliçi says that the difficult situation has also destroyed the family economy.

According to Këlliç, the floods are not a divine fate, as he accuses the government of deliberate negligence over the last 12 years.

"The serious flood situation in Albania is an indicator of citizens completely forgotten by the state.

Thousands of hectares under water, crops and households destroyed, and unfortunately, there was also a loss of human life.

Natural factors in Albania constantly turn into tragedies.

This is not a divine fatality but a 12-year deliberate negligence.

Lack of investment in infrastructure, drainage canals, or forgotten hydropower plants brings incalculable consequences to human lives affected by floods.

"The Democratic Party stands for urgent, efficient assistance and full compensation for residents left at the mercy of fate," Këlliçi writes. /CNA
