"In Fier, there are about 120 hectares under water"/ Baçi:

Democratic Party MP Luan Baçi, invited to Syri TV, stated that in the Municipality of Fier, around 120 hectares could be under water and these floods have brought major problems with infrastructure and drinking water.

Baçi stated that if there had been investments in cleaning the drainage channels, there would have been no flooding.

 

" We are talking about hectares, whole hectares can be about 120 hectares in the municipality of Fier, about 80 hectares are in Çerve alone, plus let's never forget that these floods of these lands and roads everywhere have brought about a very big problem that has been ongoing, but is now very pronounced, drinking water in the city of Fier.

It is a real problem and a real disaster. Not only do the residents of Fierak go without water in their homes for days, day or night, or for two or three hours at a time, but now it also comes with sludge, mud and murky water that is not used for anything, except for making the sink dirtier than it is used for, to perform the necessary services of a family. Absolutely zero chance of cooking, and it is no longer suitable for rinsing. So, seen from this perspective, we have no reaction from the responsible institutions.

There are absolutely some formalities that have gone into these flooded greenhouses or flooded lands of farmers and strangely enough, they have even gone from the reaction that I have seen on social networks that I have denounced during these days, for the sake of the truth and I have had it very easy and concrete because I have had numerous phone calls from many farmers, from many residents, who tell me to come and see it and often and without me going there, to be honest, since I have been on the move, they have sent me their videos, from the place where they have been, the farmers themselves speaking, introducing themselves which are not fake videos, filming, but the farmer himself is introducing who the problem is. So seen from this perspective,

They go after it floods.

"If there had been investment during all these years, there would have been cleaning of drainage canals, cleaning of irrigation canals, sewerage of roads leading to crops, to fields where there would be unblocking of water, there would have been no flooding. But there is no investment in this direction, farmers are not subsidized in any way, floods occur ," said Baçi./ CNA
