The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has reacted to the statements of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who published a list of ministers from EU countries who, according to him, have been suspended during criminal investigations, responding to Prime Minister Edi Rama, who said that there are no cases in the European Union when a minister has been dismissed by the court.

Balla declares that referring to Berisha for the names of ministers is like listening to the devil quoting the Bible or the Quran.

In a post on social media, the head of the socialist parliamentary group accused Berisha of public fraud, listing several counter-arguments.

According to Balla, the cases mentioned are political resignations, not suspensions by the courts.

" None of these cases are related to the case that the Constitutional Court in Albania must resolve. They are resignations of certain political natures and contexts, but which are not related to a decision to suspend the exercise of the office. Moreover, the case of Willy Claes' resignation from the post of NATO Secretary General is a case in point of how any procedure must go through Parliament. Willy Claes resigned only after the Belgian Parliament had authorized the investigation during the time he was a Minister in the Belgian government."/ CNA
