Journalist Mentor Kikia spoke about the vote of the Diaspora, who will vote for the first time in the May 11 elections. Kikia emphasized that the Albanian government has a duty to enable voting, adding that in 2021, people voted with expired documents and there was no problem.

"The diaspora vote will be the hottest issue of the elections. It may be contested as a process. The Albanian government has an obligation to enable voting. To vote, it is enough to identify that your name is on the voter list.

"With an expired document, you can't get a loan, but you can vote. The argument that was found seems dishonest to me. In 2021, people voted with expired documents and there was no problem," Kikia said. /CNA
