Heavy traffic in Durrës/ Timetables set for vehicle movement

For days, road traffic in Durrës has reached critical levels, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours. In order to discipline traffic, new time restrictions have been imposed for heavy and light vehicles on the city's main roads.

From January 15 to May 15, 2025, ATP vehicles (mixed transport vehicles) will not be allowed to circulate in the time slots 07:00-09:00 and 16:00-18:00, from Monday to Friday.

For heavy tonnage vehicles over 6.5 tons, circulation will be completely prohibited and limited to a route determined by the municipality.

To warn drivers, signals have been placed on all entrance and exit axes of the city. The roads affected by this restriction include:

-“Adria”, “Stefan Kaçulini”, “Glaukia”, “Hysen Kërtusha”, “Aleksandër Goga” streets (from the Police Directorate to the Prefecture),

-Boulevards "Epidamn", "Egnatia", "Taulantia",

-“Currilave”, “Mars 91”, “Dëshmorëve” streets and segments within the ring road according to the map.

In implementation of this order, commercial entities must respect the schedules and signage for their supplies. Exceptions are made for police, emergency, fire, public transport and some municipal institutions vehicles./ CNA
