For a lifetime, Istref Haxhillari has practiced the profession of teacher in the branches of exact sciences. A profession that he does with such passion, but apparently, this teaching profile has not stopped him from getting into linguistics.

Although a physical education teacher, Haxhillari has published several novels that are not related to his profile. These novels generally have various themes pertaining to life, love and human feelings, which he presents in the books in a way quite different from reality.

"The Song of the Bird of Paradise" is a poem written in prose, a poem about love, about life, about courage, maybe even about morality. I imagine the world a little differently from reality, in this book there is a reality that differs from the one we usually live in, it is a reality where some things that confuse it have been eliminated or minimized such as prejudice, ingratitude, etc. I imagine a world where human life is freer from the shackles that have historically been placed on it."

Haxhillari can be considered a "Romeo" of novels, due to the fact that it speaks to the beautiful feeling of love. But how did he turn from the profile of the sciences to romanticism? His muse is a real event, considered as macabre as it is indicative of feelings.

"As an indication of the book is an event many years ago, one of the most serious events I have seen in my life. A couple of lovers, the boy kills the girl and then kills himself. I was a school principal at that time and now what I then fixed is that, she had passed away while he was in his last throes and he wanted to know with his eyes whether she had passed away or not.

We didn't realize it, but a woman did, he passed away with a smile of happiness that I can't get out of my mind. He wanted to be with her again in that world. This is the strength of love that has always motivated me to go back to that event which has been an indication for every work I have written, an inspiration that has motivated me to write about love"
