A life dedicated to art/ Zamira Kita recounts her journey in acting
Zamira Kita, actress

Korça is one of the cities where art and culture occupy a very important place in history. Every day the citizens of Korça reveal more and more their love for art, and in particular for the theater and the many works that have appeared in this city.

In the next reportage, the viewers will have the opportunity to get to know one of the icons of the theater "Andon Zako Çajupi", the well-known actress not only in the southeast but throughout the country, the special Zamira Kita.

Zamira has been part of the theater's troupe for a lifetime, while she has also held the position of director of this institution for several years.

In a very nice interview for Cna TV, Zamira shares her best memories as an actress in theater and movies, her passion for radio, her most special collaborations, her relationship with her colleagues throughout her career, and much, much more. others.

From the age of 3, as a child with a lot of initiative, she recited in front of the class, while at the age of 11 she went on the stage of the theater for the first time. The artist has the talent for acting within herself, and this talent was encouraged and supported even more by her father, who was once an amateur actor, but did not give up nurturing his daughter to act.

"Actually, since I was little, I had a great desire to recite and sing, even though I don't listen to music at all, but I always took the initiative to appear in front of my friends, teachers, and the class. Since I was 3 years old, I was chosen to recite. I remember that my mother used to do some beautiful dresses that coincided with the party we were having, with folk motifs, with crocheted spears. I was always the center of attention. Slowly, I started to love theater from my father who was an amateur actor. He started teaching me taken to the stage of knitting, where I played with others, I played a child, since then spinning was a department of its own. As an innocent child, I pointed out the mistakes that others made. Since then, I never left the theater. I went on the stage at the age of 11, for the first time, on the stage of the Andon Zako Çajupi theater. After that, my father nurtured me with a love for the theater, I was involved in activities during high school, when the time came to choose the branch to become an actress, it was my father was one of the few people who encouraged me and did not hinder me. He inspired me, he attended all the exams at the Academy of Arts, in January and June, and my professor Kadri Roshi used to say "Zamira's father is special because he doesn't leave any exam unwatched". He also made remarks to me. I have seen my father play and I realized that I was very much like him, I inherited this talent from him. Even one flaw that I had, that I precipitated a lot, I had from my father. Today that I play, I believe that I no longer have the problem of precipitation because I see that I have gained experience, the years and the great work have made me more accurate in my roles", she confessed.

The comedy genre suits the Korça actress so well, seemingly simpler but requiring commitment. However, Zamira loves her drama.

"I have a lot of comedy in Zamira, I like it a lot, but I like drama more. It seems as if I do comedy more simply, easily, without effort, it's not like that, but I like drama a lot and you have to save the emotion in drama for not to consume the soul, the moment, the scene and it's more difficult," the actress told CNA.

The show "The Second Chapter" directed by Qëndrim Rijani is the work that distinguishes Zamira from all the others, the work which has given her the character of Jenny, a role with comic and dramatic situations that best presented the artist's talent . The story behind this work makes it even more exciting.

"The show that I love the most is "The second chapter" which was staged by Qëndrim Rijani, he worked for the first time in Korça to defend his degree. We were 4 actors who played, with Sotiraq Bratko, Blerta Belliu and Mateus Frroku . I have one of my favorite works not to say that it is the play I love the most. It was a role with both comic and dramatic situations. It was a play that took place on a stage where the audience was, and there were two rooms, mine and my husband's that I fell in love with him. He has gone through something in his life before, he is separated, he finds a new love, his wife died and he finds love again with Jenny. But he cannot break away from his great love of his wife, and it makes Jenny, who I played, suffer a lot. It's a very beautiful role, and I did it very well. The whole show was emotional, and it was even the return of Sotiraq Bratko for the first time. first", said the actress.

"If I count the roles, I don't know how many they can be" - says the Korça artist.

Among the best and most beautiful roles, she singles out some, but shamelessly points out that there are also roles that may not have been felt by the public.

"Then I have other very beautiful roles, Ivna, Bernarda Alba, in the comedy "Puthja", Eftiqina in Jovan Bregu, I have a fantastic character role in a work brought to the stage by Ilir Bokshi. So I have many, if I remember "Valle death" I have a role that I like there. I have favorite roles, maybe also roles that I may not have done well, not a failure but that have been felt by a lot of the public. If I count the roles, I don't know how many they can be, a lot Zamira Kita said.

In her artistic career, we have seen Zamira Kita play with well-known figures in Albania. Collaborations between artists have brought great satisfaction to the public, which makes the latter to be a part of every show that appears in Korça and beyond. Yllka Mujo occupies an important place in Zamira's heart, as does Luiza Xhuvani. Another fantastic actor she mentions is Ndriçim Xhepa, Robert Ndrenika, Mirush Kabashi, very beloved figures for Albanians.

"I have always appreciated Yllka Mujon and Luiza Xhuvani. Liza is younger than me, but I appreciated her because she played many roles in the theater and many in the cinematography. I single out Yllka Mujon, she is the best actress we have. Idhull smund to tell you that I have. Eva Alikaj is a good actress, in recent years Olta Daku has excelled, so there are very good actresses that I have a heart for. I would single out Ndriçim Xhepa, an actor with many roles in films and theater. Likewise, the old Robert Ndrenika, Reshat Arbana, Mirush Kabashi, Timo Flloko, we have had and have actors. Even the new generations come prepared, talents that must be supported, because we too, in a podcast that I had recently, they told me are there new Yllka Mujo? And I said that even Yllka Mujo when she was young, she was no longer Yllka Mujo. A person gains experience, gains experience and consolidates with his talent and his performances", said the actress.

Zamira Kita is not only found in the theater of Korça and in the theaters of other cities in Albania. Her great ability and talent has made her, with a lot of work and effort, become a part of many films made in our country. It was 1986 when Zamira took part in her first film, "Eja", and after that in several Albanian telenovelas. The special thing in Zamira's career remains an Albanian-Swiss collaboration, with the film "Yllka" where the artist was awarded in the category of the best female actress for a supporting role. This is a very beautiful memory for Zamira, who shows it with such nostalgia.

"I have made many films, I started my first film "Eja" in 1986, while in 1989 I had another film and later with the change of the system I had telenovelas such as "Tifozët", "Paris Commune". I made the film "Yllka" in Switzerland, as an Albanian-Swiss collaboration, in which I excelled as I had a humorous role that suited me very well and I ran in the film festival with three men. There were three actors who played the male roles , and I was the only one among the women and entered the category of the best actors for a supporting role. Recently I had the film "In the framework of love" where I played with Ndriçim Jhepa on my arm as my husband, with the charming couple Olta Gixhari and Luiz Ejlli, with Sara, Roerdi and many others. I felt very good with the character role I had there. Then there was the series "Hot" with Ermal Mamaq, with Drilon Hoxha in the role of his mother in the film "Ego "I like the movie a lot, but the movie doesn't give you the emotion that the theater gives you, however, they are beautiful, different genres, very dear to me", revealed the actress.

For an artist, next to family and friends, the public is the biggest support. The emotions that the actor conveys on stage to the audience bring pleasure not only to the actor but also to the viewers who are there at every show to see Zamira.

While we ask her about any case of appreciation from the public, Zamira tells of one of the most beautiful moments she has experienced after a performance, where she was covered with flowers by students and lecturers of Fan Noli University, and for her it was such a strong emotion that s He couldn't even hold back his tears. She also singles out a painting with dedications from the students of her daughter Enira's class, which she keeps in her office today and sees her receiving support from them every day.

"This is very interesting. Something happened a few years ago, now recently, I had a comedy or variety show, I don't remember well. At the end of the show, almost 30 students and lecturers from Fan Noli University came on stage, and they covered with flowers. When I say that I couldn't hold you, we dropped the flowers on the ground, I don't know, a situation arose that I started crying. I didn't understand, I didn't have a birthday that day, I didn't have any important events, I didn't understand what had happened. I asked what this is and a university lecturer said "Thank you Zamira, love, we want to say, you are very good and we are lucky to have you in town." And another occasion that impressed me a lot was a painting made by the students of my daughter Enira's class, the whole class painted my portrait from the movie "Eja" and on the side all the students wrote something about me. I keep it that, it's very exciting", confessed Zamira Kita.

In addition to many compliments from the public, and not only from colleagues, artists, directors, Zamira brings to attention one of the best compliments she received from the Kosovar director Ilir Bokshi.

"The public loves me, definitely, while a big, important, beautiful compliment that I have received in my life and that I single out as very interesting, is from Ilir Bokshi, the director of Kosovo. I played in the show "Kopshti i kirshive", governess and Iliri came to meet me and said: "Zamira, how is that possible? I have put this work in Pristina and shortened the governess. And here I see that he is the most beautiful role of this work." And this for me was a very big compliment because I had stood out and played the role in such a way that I had left him speechless", he said she.

Theater and film occupy the biggest place in Zamira Kita's artistic career, but her other love is radio. Although she has been away from the radio for almost 16 years, she still feels nostalgic when she hears her voice in some of the commercials made over the years. The desire to communicate with the public, to recite poems, to ask them questions, restores the desire to do a show, but due to big commitments, he cannot do it.

"I have radio, I like it very much. I can't say journalism because it is a very broad term, a much bigger profession, but I like radio very much. Communicating with the public, reading them fragments of novels, novellas, recite poems, song lyrics, play games, questions. Every time I go to the radio to record something I need for my work, I say I'll be back to do a show, then I watch it because time doesn't let me. It's been 16 years already since I left, I come back from time to time to do a small column, but when I hear my voice on Radio Korça, which still continues to broadcast some commercials, I feel very nostalgic."

We will continue to have Zamira Kita engaged in performances, soon with the work "Vasha" by Maksim Gorky, a role that she looks forward to with great pleasure, although it is a difficult role.

"Now you will see me on the stage of the theater because we will perform "The Girl" by Maksim Gorky, with Enke Fezollari, in the meantime another project will start but I will not play there because it is more with young people and I miss it a lot it's good that Fatos Berisha from Kosovo is coming to Korça to perform a work with young people from the city. While in "Vasha" I will play Vasha and you will see me there. It is a very beautiful, difficult role, I'm looking forward to it with great pleasure and I believe that I will work and do something beautiful."

Talking about the artist from Korça will be necessary not just in the reportage, as Zamira Kita has given and is giving a lot to art in Korça and beyond.

Every day engaged in projects, collaborations and organizing activities, which makes the actress one of the most beloved characters in Korça. A life on stage, most loved by the public, with hundreds of fantastic roles, make Zamira an icon of the city./ CNA
