Reconstruction/ Teliti: We have requested information at every municipal council

The Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipal Council, Dorjan Teliti, in an interview for Syri TV, once again focused on the reconstruction process in the capital.

Teliti said that after 6 years, the reconstruction process is still unfinished and it will take another 5-6 years to complete this process.

Teliti called the reconstruction situation unacceptable and scandalous.

Teliti said that at every municipal council meeting, information about the reconstruction was requested, which was denied.

" Meanwhile, where are we today after six years? We are today after six years where this process has not yet ended, on the contrary we are in the middle of this process and according to the information we have received about the reconstruction process in general, at these rates we are, it will take another 5-6 years to complete the reconstruction process. So we have a managerial efficiency that is still in the classroom, where money is taken and... And last year specifically, in 2024, the official data on the progress has already been made public, which was published by both the Supreme State Audit and the Ministry of Finance, where last year in Tirana alone 53 million euros were allocated for the reconstruction process and only 49% of it was used. So we are in a situation that is absolutely scandalous, we are in a situation that is unacceptable. We are in a situation in which we see the reconstruction process dragging on and although we have requested information at every meeting of the Municipal Council, this information is practically denied to us because it is already justified with the fact that there is no positive progress, on the contrary there is an extremely negative progress ," said Teliti./ CNA
