"A heavy slap for every citizen"/ Teliti: Reconstruction, a big lie of

The Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Council of Tirana, Dorjan Teliti, spoke about the issue of reconstruction in the capital.

Teliti said that the reconstruction issue is a big lie and hundreds of families are still at the mercy of fate.

In a status on social media, Teliti writes that out of the 53 million euros that were available last year, the municipality has spent less than half of them, only 26 million.

It is unacceptable and deeply revolting to see how the Municipality of Tirana has transformed the vital process of reconstruction into a tragic farce, leaving hundreds of Tirana families still at the mercy of fate.

The numbers speak for themselves: 53 million euros were available for reconstruction last year alone, but the Municipality spent only 26 million euros – less than half!

Where did the rest of the money go? This is not just negligence, this is a severe slap in the face to every citizen affected!

 At this ridiculous pace, do we really have to wait until the next decade for the homes of the needy to be rebuilt? 

While tower after tower rises at breakneck speed in the heart of Tirana, serving the interests of a narrow clique, the reconstruction of citizens' homes has become synonymous with endless delays, flagrant abuses of tenders, and ghost works or works beyond any standard.

This is not simply a managerial failure, but this is a political failure that clearly shows the lack of will and honesty on the part of the leaders of the Capital City Municipality.
