Fires in the country/ Rama: Full inventory of damages, one-on-one compensation

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a live communication on social media with citizens this Thursday regarding the fire situation in several areas of the country.

Rama emphasized the cases of families who have lost their homes to the flames, while stating that a full inventory of the damages will be carried out by the relevant authorities, based on the protocol of the situation.

Rama said that the next step will be to provide reparations and compensation for lost property and livestock.

"First of all, I would like to express my condolences to those who lost their loved ones and express my solidarity with those families who have actually lost their homes to the fire. As we speak, there are 207 damaged homes affected by the fire, but this number includes 40 families so far who have actually lost their homes completely.

I want to assure everyone, whether families who have completely lost their homes or families who have suffered damage to their homes from the fire, that we are conducting a full inventory of these damages, according to the protocol of the situation and with the relevant authorities, and without question, as has happened in the past, it will happen again.

"No one will be alone and no one will be left without the government on their side, without the state on their side, to return to a better and stronger home, as well as to receive the appropriate compensation, even for the lost heads. So far, 3,619 lost heads have been counted. They will be compensated one by one without any discussion, while their inventory continues," said Rama./CNA
