Former Democratic MP Myslym Murrizi today expressed his indignation with the opposition, which according to him has remained silent on the 'Bankers Petroleum' affair.

In a television interview, Murrizi said that he was impressed by the connection between politics and this affair, and what he called their willingness to advocate.

Murrizi also spoke about the possible race for chairman of the Democratic Party, which he clarified is an open possibility for him.

"I am spiritually indignant for the selective opposition and for the silence for years towards the biggest affair of the century, which is Bankers, which has stolen 15 billion euros of underground wealth from Albanians in 21 years. You are an oppositionist, but you take some tenders here, take some money for bribes and act as their lawyer. I was impressed by the connection of politics with the Bankers affair. What has caught my attention is the obvious bribery of three law firms that have received 13.5 million euros, from 2019 to date. If Berisha will not be a candidate and will not stir up trouble, I will absolutely be in the race for party leader. As a former student of December, as someone who does not come from communism to the DP, as someone who does not have a single lek of public money in my pocket and who is not a selective oppositionist. Why not with Berisha too, why not, I tell you. I do not know that this is one man's private party", said Murrizi./ CNA
