The last two EU/Albania chapters, intergovernmental conference in the fall

Albania still has two groups of chapters left to open, as part of the European Union integration process.

In a television interview, Deputy Minister of Economy Enkelejd Musabelliu said that in the fall, the country will prepare for a joint intergovernmental conference to officially open negotiations.

Musabelliu added that an important part of these group chapters is the approximation of legislation, which is expected to pass more easily as a change for citizens and businesses.

"For the remaining two group chapters, Albania has received an invitation to present its position and in the fall, a joint intergovernmental conference is planned between the European Commission and Albania to officially open negotiations on these two group chapters."
