The political leader of the PD for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has reacted regarding the decision of the Special Appeal, where the directors of Erion Veliajt were considered as a "structured criminal group".

In a statement to the media, Kelliçi said that the decision of the Special Appeal is a decisive turning point for the fate of the investigation and for uncovering the thefts of directors in Tirana Municipality.

He emphasized that the mayor Erion Veliaj was aware of the director's thefts.

"Yesterday, we were informed by the media that the Court of Appeal Against Organized Crime and Corruption, in a very clear decision of its own, has considered the company 5D Konstruktion and the directors of Erion Veliaj, as a Structured Criminal Group.

These directors, with the 5D company alone, have stolen at least 30 million euros of public tenders, through 45 tendering procedures, in the span of 7 years.

This is a fact that we have made public and reported to SPAK since April 2023, we have been repeating for 10 months from this pulpit as well as for 15 weeks this has been the main theme of the protests in front of the Tirana Municipality.

The fact that the Court asks SPAK prosecutors to deepen the investigations, unfortunately proves what the Democratic Party has been saying for a long time: This is directed justice!

Kelliçi further called for the employee of 5D Konstruktion Jona Bejko to be summoned by SPAK, as she appeared in the prosecution's file saying that the hotel being built in Durrës by the 5d company also has the mayor Veliaj as a shareholder.

"The court in its decision has stated that in addition to treating the 5D file as a Structured Criminal Group, the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) should also investigate the statements of the citizen Jona Bejko, who described 'lali er' as the actual owner of the hotel 50 million euros in Durrës.

So, to put it briefly and clearly, former deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj describes Erion Veliaj as the de facto owner of the Tirana incinerator, 5D employee Jona Bejko describes Erion Veliaj as the de facto owner of the 50 million euro hotel in Durrës, while Altin Dumani and SPAK still refuse to do the job, but above all refuse to implement even the decisions of the Special Court Against Organized Crime and Corruption.
