This Thursday, a decision of the Special Appeal has been revealed that aggravates the charge against the directors of Erion Veliaj, arrested for corruption in the Municipality of Tirana, with the "5D" file.

The appeal of GJKKO has considered the directors of Veliaj as a structured criminal group.

This means that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana are not only accused of the criminal offenses of "passive corruption", simple cooperation, "non-declaration of assets" and "Violation of equality in tenders".

With the previous accusations, Veliaj's collaborators risked punishments of 4-6 years of imprisonment, but if they are treated as a structured criminal group, they risk punishments of up to 15 years in prison.

We remind you that Redi Molla, former director of Water and Sewerage in the Municipality of Tirana, Taulant Tusha, former director of Public Works in the Municipality of Tirana and Mariglen Qato, former director of the Territory Protection Inspectorate, were arrested for the "5D" file. in Tirana Municipality.

There are also 6 other security measures, which include former members of the bid evaluation commission.

According to the prosecution, Redi Molla during the time he was the director of the Tirana Waterworks and Mariglen Qato during the time he was the director of the UKT Support Department announced the winner of the company "5D Konstruksion" sh.pk in 11 tenders.

SPAK has evidence that this company was owned by 3 people, who were fictitious partners, while the real partners and "de facto" owners were Mariglen Qato and Redi Molla, who had social ties and friendly ties.
