Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech at the tributes being held at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet for the death of Ismail Kadare, said that this writer raised the Albanian language to the highest heights. 

Rama explained that only he will speak at today's state ceremony, this is Helena Kadare's request, this is a promise kept for her husband. 

"Helena told me that she only wanted my word in this ceremony, since Kadare was allergic to long statements or long speeches, she chose the lesser evil. I am speaking as someone who associates pleasant conversations with Ismail. This is a Privileges and responsibilities. He elevated Albanian literature to the top of the list. As soon as I found out that he died, I thought about the preparation of the ceremony. He elevated the Albanian language to the highest heights," said Rama
