In a meeting with the leaders of the QSUT, the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, stated that all doctors will be prohibited from treating the same patient in the private clinics they have opened. 

She emphasized that doctors working in private clinics will not hold any position in public hospitals or in the state University of Medicine. 

According to the minister, all these legal changes are under discussion and are expected to be approved in the third week of July.

"Doctors who want to work in private will have to get permission. It will be forbidden for doctors to follow the same patient in the private clinics they have opened. This is a fundamental reform of hospital autonomy. QSUT and 12 other hospitals will receive hospital autonomy. Doctors working in private clinics will not hold any function in public hospitals or in the state university. All these legal changes are under discussion and are expected to be approved in the third week of July The serious incident at the Oncology Department will make us work further for the health of Albanians," said the minister./CNA
