The Councilor for Economic Affairs in the Democratic Party, Dorian Teliti, has accused the Municipality of Tirana, during the protest against Erion Veliaj.

Teliti said that yesterday the Municipality of Tirana received another 80 million euros from the taxes of the capital's residents.

According to him, 80 million euros were taken with the claim that water will be provided 24 hours a day for the citizens of Tirana.

He raised questions about where this money is going.

"They put the national flag on the facade, but inside is a nursery for thieves. Yesterday they also stole 80 million euros, and for what, to supposedly provide 24-hour water for the citizens of Tirana. Yes, they increased the price 8 years ago by 44 percent just to have water 24 hours a day. Where did they take the money? They stole the money.

As was seen with his 5 directors who made tenders with the water supply companies, receiving millions and millions of euros, stealing them 100 percent in their pockets. What we did yesterday, although I love animals, we made it official, but I can't accept a child getting less food aid than a zoo animal. I can't accept it, no. I do not accept that the children of Tirana receive economic assistance of 15-20 thousand lek per month, while two or three times more is paid for zoo animals.

I cannot accept it, although I love animals, but man is above all. And these are here to govern Tirana and the people and not to steal, not to treat people worse than animals.
