The meeting of the Municipal Council of Tirana took place amid debates and interruption of speech to the opposition councilors.

After the meeting ended, the opposition councilors threw accusations at the socialists.

Dorian Teliti said that in today's meeting, the current budget and the following 3 years' budget were approved, without their approval and in violation of the law.

He said in a television connection that the opposition was interrupted, in order to prevent transparency.

"They closed the meeting of the Municipal Council by interrupting us at the moment when we were making comments on the 17 acts over a thousand pages of material that we should exhaust today at the meeting of the Municipal Council. The chairman of the council, together with the members of the council, unfairly, completely in violation of the regulation, took away our microphones, not giving us the necessary time to exhaust ourselves and give our opinions. Today, they passed the current year's budget, they approved the draft medium-term budget for the next 3 years, they also approved the actual budget of the previous year, completely in violation of the law, as they were carried out without public consultations", Teliti emphasized./ CNA
