Teliti: Albania, money laundering arena in the construction sector

The Advisor for Economic Affairs in DP and at the same time the vice president of Tirana City Council, Dorian Teliti in a statement to the media from the blue headquarters said that 1/3 of Albanians have left the country these 11 years, but only construction does not know a crisis.

According to him, Albania has become an arena for money laundering in the construction sector.

"How is it possible that there is no government control for the source of financing of millions and millions of m2 of construction these years, while there is no international institution left without raising the concern of the use of money from questionable sources or of money laundering in the sector of construction?", he said, among other things.

Teliti emphasized that we must put an end to depopulation and called for participation in the July 11 protest.

Full statement:

Dear citizens! We live in Albania of misery, where people leave more and more, where the separation of families forever has already become the norm, leaving behind everything, parents, relatives, friends, colleagues, work, career, their lives .

The Census data published a few days ago are not real.

According to Eurostat, during the last 11 years, the departure of Albanians has been massive, over 900 thousand Albanians have left and more specifically, 478 thousand Albanians have left with regular documents, 192 thousand Albanians have sought asylum in EU countries, and 311 thousand Albanians stay illegally in Europe, not including countries such as USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, etc.

Dear citizens.

Although 1/3 of Albanians have left the country these 11 years, there is a sector which does not know the crisis, on the contrary, it continues to record a dizzying growth, and that is the construction sector, of concrete that is pouring more and more every day.

According to OECD, Eurostat and Instat, 356,000 flats are currently empty, uninhabited, where most of them are not in abandoned villages or rural areas, but in cities, with a total of 180,000 uninhabited apartments.

What is happening?

While we have so many unoccupied apartments, why does construction continue to grow at double-digit rates?

How is it possible that with all this high supply, instead of falling and becoming more affordable for young families and couples, prices are rising rapidly year after year?

How is it possible that although 40% of the buildings built in recent years in Tirana are empty, the construction of towers and multi-story buildings continues at a high rate?

How is it possible that there is no government control for the source of financing of millions and millions of m2 of construction these years, while there is no international institution left without raising the concern of the use of money from dubious sources or of money laundering in the sector construction?

There is only one explanation, that this whole operation "quasi cleansing" of Albanians and the return of the country to an arena of money laundering in the construction sector, are the government's own policy, conceived, managed, sponsored by the current government itself, with the occult purpose of removing the Albanians from the country and reigning eternally in power just like their predecessors of the communist regime.

Therefore, we all have a duty, a great responsibility to stop depopulation,

stop the departure of Albanians from their country!

So all united, on July 11, let's protest for a normal Albania, for an Albania that serves man, for an Albania of free and fair competition, for an Albania where with free and fair elections you are and only you citizens decide on the future of the country./CNA
