Kelliçi appeals to Duman: The incinerator file and "5D" should

The member of the Presidency, Belind Kelliçi, called on the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to ask the prosecutors Prençi and Braho, that the Tirana incinerator file and the 5D mega affair be treated as a structured criminal group.

Kelliçi emphasized that Veliaj should immediately go to justice, as it can spoil the evidence for corrupt affairs.

"Erion Veliaj, before destroying the evidence in his office in the municipality, must immediately go to justice, as he is the orderer and the main beneficiary of all the rampant corruption that has happened and is happening in the Municipality of Tirana. If Altin Dumani continues the amnesty for Erion Veliaj, let it be clear that the thief of Tirana will never be amnestied by the Albanian opposition, the Democratic Party and the citizens of Tirana", said Këlliçi.

He warned that the group of experts at the Democratic Party is currently preparing a new criminal report, for the corruption and thefts of Erion Veliaj in the municipality of Tirana.

Kelliçi invited the citizens of the capital to the 15th protest that is expected to take place on Friday in front of the Tirana municipality.

Yesterday, an unprecedented and very serious event took place at the doors of SPAK. Mr. Pal Trashaj, historian and activist for the protection of cultural heritage, ended his life after seeking justice for several years, which was denied him until his last day.

This is not the first case where Albanian citizens commit extreme acts at the doors of the Special Prosecutor's Office, desperately seeking justice.

Spakists, or as they often try to sell us as the 'heroes' of our children, did not put water on fire for a major scandal that has gripped all of Albania and not only the late Pal Trashaj; the microcredit scandal.

SPAK does not have time to follow the problems of the honest citizens of this country, as it is too busy to cover up flagrant thefts in broad daylight and to grant amnesty to the actual owner of the Tirana incinerator, the head of the structured criminal group 5D, the thief Erion Veliaj.

We remind SPAK once again that Erion Veliaj has been accused by me and the Democratic Party for more than 10 months, with indisputable evidence and facts for:

1. The approval and illegal profit with the concession contract for the Tirana incinerator, where until today we have officially deposited in SPAK full 1800 pages of authentic materials and documents in which the role of Erion Veliaj is verified, since the approval of the concession and the signing of the contract without the approval of the Tirana Municipal Council, up to the orders on which tower should pay for the deposit of soil and which tower should not. For all these facts, SPAK still sleeps.

2. The never-before-heard corruption scandal with the 5D Construction company, where 100% of public funds were stolen from the electoral headquarters of Erion Veliaj on May 14, 2023. From the preliminary investigations, it appears that the employees of this company considered 'lali Erin' the actual owner of the 50 million euro hotel in Durrës. SPAK in this file, has overcome any possible amnesty imagination and still today, Nestor Muhametllari, the administrator of this company, is free and the assets of this company were never blocked, continuing the alienation to third parties.

3. The murder of Ardi Gjoklaj, which we never forgot, and only two months ago we submitted new evidence to SPAK, complete documentation, on how Erion Veliaj started the recycling business as a minister, together with the relatives of the directors of his and ended up as mayor, with the company accused of being a money-laundering machine for the 'Ndranghetta criminal organization. ECO Tirana, as we speak today, has the monopoly of cleaning in the municipality of Tirana and benefits 17 million euros per year, with the firm of Erion Veliajt. While Tirana today has the most polluted and carcinogenic air in Europe, meanwhile toxic water flows every day in the faucets of the capital city.

For all these scandals, thefts and crimes against the citizens of Tirana, SPAK remains silent! Today, Altin Dumani faces a public challenge.

When he was asked in the Parliamentary Committee on Laws about the incinerators of Elbasan and Fier, he justified himself that he had nothing to do, as these were closed files and cases, as they had been initiated while he was not the leader of SPAK.

Today, Altin Dumani has the legal obligation, as he did with the Sterilization file, to ask the prosecutors Prençi and Braho, that the Tirana incinerator file and the 5D mega affair be treated as a Structured Criminal Group.

Erion Veliaj, before destroying the evidence in his office in the municipality, should immediately go to justice, as he is the orderer and the main beneficiary of all the rampant corruption that has happened and is happening in Tirana Municipality. If Altin Dumani continues the amnesty for Erion Veliaj, let it be clear that the thief of Tirana will never be amnestied by the Albanian opposition, the Democratic Party and the citizens of Tirana.

The Group of Experts at the PD is meanwhile preparing a new criminal report, for the corruption and thefts of Erion Veliajt in the municipality of Tirana.

For this reason, I again invite the citizens of the capital to the 15th protest, democrats and socialists, with or without a party, to protest together in front of Tirana City Hall, on Friday, July 5, at 11:00.

The immediate departure from the office of the thief Erion Veliaj is a national emergency and the best service we can do for our Tirana. Oh today, oh never. Thank you. /CNA
