The deputy of the Socialist Party Ilir Beqaj, while being asked by journalists about the arrest of the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj, said that the reform in justice was done for this matter, that whoever violates the law will be punished. 

"The reform in justice was done for this, for anyone who violates the law with reference to evidence and facts. I want to say that there is still no one responsible for "January 21", or for "Gërdec", where people were killed, not stolen only lek", said Braçe in a statement before the start of the plenary session.

The former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, was arrested by the Tirana Police this morning, following the decision of the Special Court at the request of SPAK. 

In total, the Special Court has imposed 5 security measures, 3 "prison arrests" and 2 "house arrests" for abuses of EU funds.

According to sources, the abuses were committed when Beqaj was heading SASPAC (State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination).

The security measures were decided by the judge of GJKKO, Rudina Palloi. /CNA
