The 18th phase of "Clean Alps"/ More than 3500 cannabis plants are

Over 3,500 cannabis plants have been destroyed in the 18th phase of the police mega-operation at the district level, coded "Clean Alps", which focused on cracking down on the cultivation of narcotic plants.

In this final phase of this mega-operation, a total of 3,520 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants were destroyed, of which: 2,098 plants in Pult and Shale; 1108 plants in the villages of Shllak and Temal and 314 plants in the villages of Kastrat and Shkrel.

Also, the investigative work continues, for the identification and capture of the citizens who cultivated the narcotic plants that were destroyed as part of this mega-operation.

During the period April 29-October 4, 2023, when this mega-operation took place, a total of 75,903 cannabis sativa seedlings and narcotic plants were destroyed, 9 suspected perpetrators of their cultivation were arrested, and 11 citizens of others.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Shkodër, for further investigative actions./ CNA
