For the opposition's "dynamite"

For the opposition's "dynamite"

First of all, I want to tell you that this article is not addressed to patronazis or scoundrels.

He addresses the opposition's "binoculars".

Her shoulders that talk up and down the bars and cafes, weighing the contributions of others.

So, it is addressed to those "binoculars" and spies who seek to determine who deserves to be at the helm of the Democratic Party and who does not, although in the days when standing up was costly, many of them remained silent, calculated, or waited.

Therefore, before talking about positions, they should talk about contributions.

Because:

A party that does not know how to recognize those who risked their lives for it in the most difficult days does not build a meritocracy.

When on September 9, 2021, Lulzim Basha announced the expulsion of Sali Berisha from the Democratic Party parliamentary group, the majority remained silent.

You seem to have forgotten this fact, but I'll refresh your memory.

Yes, they were silent.

But Flamur Noka reacted instantly , just a few seconds later.

There was no time for consultation with Berisha, no time for coordination, and no time to see where the majority would lean.

Even at that moment, he didn't even know what Sali Berisha's own reaction would be.

So, he wasn't following anyone.

He wasn't repeating someone else's stance and wasn't positioning himself after seeing where the game was going.

It was an immediate, conscious, and completely his own reaction.

Not a thoughtless outburst, but the firm stance of a man who immediately understood the gravity of what was happening and chose not to remain silent.

It was the stance of a man who did not need to know either Berisha's reaction or the positioning of others to distinguish right from wrong.

At that moment, Noka didn't know if anyone would come after him.

The pulpit did not yet exist.

There was no Reestablishment.

There were no crowds, no proven support, and no guarantee of how that clash would end.

He risked being politically burned out, isolated, and left alone.

But he didn't wait to see the winner.

He didn't hide behind cold formulations.

He didn't do the calculations for the chair.

He did not behave like those who wait to see which side the scales are on and appear brave only after the danger has passed.

He reacted like a man who doesn't abandon another at the very moment when everyone falls on him.

This is character.

This is the man.

And this is a major political contribution.

Because contribution is not measured by how nicely someone speaks after the battle has been won.

It is measured by what is at stake when no one yet knows how the battle will end.

Therefore, if a political career should be based on contribution, courage, and stance at decisive moments, Flamur Noka is today in exactly the position he deserves.

It's not there by chance.

It's not there as a gift.

And it's not there from some last-minute bargain.

It is there because, in one of the Democratic Party's darkest nights, it came forward when many others remained silent, counted, or waited.

Therefore, keeping him in a secondary role today or leaving him out of the leadership of the Democratic Party would not be "renewal".

It would be a denial not only of his contribution, but of the contribution of everyone who has stood up to this day and of anyone who will dare to stand up tomorrow.

Because, if sacrifice is not recognized and courage is not rewarded, the message given to everyone is clear:

Don't risk it.

Don't come forward.

Wait for the battle to pass and approach only when victory is certain.

In short, Albanian:

A party that does not know how to recognize those who risked their lives for it in the most difficult days does not build a meritocracy.

It only builds a new line of people who come after the danger has passed and demand the reward for battles they didn't fight./ CNA
