A serious accident was registered this Tuesday evening in Mestre, Italy.

A bus has fallen from the bridge overpass and crashed onto the railway tracks.

The bus was traveling along Via dell'Elettricita and burst into flames after the crash.

According to preliminary information, Italian media reports that at least 20 people have lost their lives and dozens more have been injured.

So far, the circumstances of the accident are not known, nor if it is a tourist or public bus. 

The railway line between Mestre and Venice was suspended due to the accident

Many ambulances have arrived at the scene and other reinforcements are going to help the accident victims.
