The members of the Kosovo Assembly have failed for the 22nd time in a row to constitute the parliamentary composition resulting from the February 9 elections.

And in today's session, the necessary votes for the establishment of the Oversight Committee for a secret ballot were not obtained. Only 54 deputies voted in favor, out of the 61 votes needed. One voted against, while there were no abstentions.

After the failure of the session, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, reacted.

He has stated that the Assembly is not constituted by the winner but by everyone, unlike the formation of the Government, which he sees as the responsibility of his Vetëvendosje party.

"Kosovo has an incumbent government, I am the incumbent prime minister. What helps Kosovo is the new Assembly of the Republic. The Assembly is not constituted by the winner, but by everyone. As the winner of the elections with 48 deputies and with 9 deputies from minorities who have joined us, we have the responsibility to form the government.

"So, the winner has the responsibility for forming the government. Meanwhile, to constitute the Assembly, all deputies have the responsibility and they are making a mistake by making the quorum for the secret ballot impossible."/ CNA
