Viral video of Macron with his wife/ The President clarifies the truth

French President Emmanuel Macron has reacted to the viral video with his wife, Brigitte, which was widely commented on in the media and social networks as a slap and quarrel between the presidential couple.

In a reaction to the media, Macron explained that it was a joke between him and his wife.

Regarding the video, Macron said that it turned into a geoplanetary catastrophe.

"I was discussing and joking with my wife and a video turns into a kind of geoplanetary catastrophe," Macron told reporters.

"In the world we live in, we don't have much time to waste discussing such topics," he added.

Speaking on France's BFMTV television channel, Macron denied any "internal scenes", adding: "All this is a bit of nonsense."

Macron is in Vietnam as part of a tour of Southeast Asia. He will also visit Indonesia and Singapore./ CNA
