According to the government's decision, the new state-owned company will take over the entire chain of sterilization services, from the supply of sterile surgical instruments and disposable materials, to the management of the Central Sterilization Station at the QSUT, the treatment of biologically hazardous hospital waste, and the digitalization of the process.

Beyond the fact that the sterilization contract continues to be under corruption charges, former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj has been arrested, beyond the sterilization where other criminal offenses were found and the case is in trial, we need to see what happened and what is happening.

A connection was made, which doctors and specialists called a good thing because it saved lives, there are fewer postoperative infections, and it has results.

Is there corruption? There may be corruption, these are parts that belong to the concession, but the concession had some good things, beyond the corruption that SPAK claims and is being tried and will be shown through a court decision.

The first is that postoperative infections are fewer. The second is that the operation was performed with surgical sets of high European standards, like every doctor, like every surgeon in Europe.

Costs and corruption are another side. It is also very important to emphasize that about 30 million euros have been invested and today, since the Albanian state is taking over this concession, a truth must be told. The Albanian government will invest zero lek. Zero lek, because the concessionaire has invested and on the other hand, it is worth emphasizing the fact that 100 thousand people will operate per year with these parameters that we have emphasized above, that is, with parameters of high European standards.

The most important thing is that the price does not have a large drop like in North Macedonia or Kosovo where the difference is greater, it is only a 10% decrease, but this time it is administered by the state and not by the private sector.

The private sector has invested the investment money. The concession has been administered by the private sector in these years, now it will be administered by the state, but with the money paid by the private concessionaire, and we hope that post-operative illnesses will be as few as possible and that doctors will have the best surgical kits.

For the corruption part, it is the justice system, the court, and SPAK that will speak.
