Escape of a detainee in Durrës/ The Directorate of Prisons reacts

Escaped detainee, Altin Ndoci

The General Directorate of Prisons has reacted regarding the escape of a detainee in Durrës. In the preliminary statement regarding the incident, it is stated that Altin Ndoci left the premises of the Durrës Hospital, where he had been accompanied for medical visits.

It is also reported that the relevant structures were immediately put into motion and work is underway to locate and capture him, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Preliminary statement:

Detainee Altin Ndoci has been released from the premises of the Durrës Regional Hospital, where he was accompanied for medical examinations. All medical procedures were carried out in the infectious diseases ward, which has a security ward for prisoners.

Despite the immediate intervention of the Prison Police forces to detain him, Altin Ndoci has managed to leave the hospital. The relevant structures were immediately put into motion and intensive work is being done to locate and capture him, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Altin Ndoci, who has been in prison since 2020, is accused by SPAK of being involved in several murders. Specifically, Ndoci is accused of the murders of Besmir and Viktor Haxhië, Anxhelo Avdiaj and Dorjan Shkoza. He is considered a high-risk person. / CNA
