"The evidence proved that he was not sick"/ Artan Hoxha: Altin Ndoci

Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke today about the escape of pre-trial detainee Altin Ndoci. Hoxha, in a television show, stated that based on the footage of the escape, it did not appear that Ndoci had any health problems.

"What we saw in the footage proved that not only did he not look like a sick person, who needed treatment, but he was a sprinter, he looked like Luiza Gega, he looked like he had entered the 3000 meters and no one could catch him there. The stride he had initially in that first photo we saw and then in the video proves that this person was not only not sick but he was in excellent physical condition to escape and escape from the police officers of Durrës prison," said Hoxha.

Further, the journalist stated that Ndoci, a person considered to be of high social risk, should not have been held in Durrës prison, which, according to him, is considered the prison with the greatest facilities for detainees.

"First of all, what I see as very problematic is why a character of this level should be in a prison such as Durrës prison, which has a reputation throughout the Republic of Albania, which is considered the prison with the greatest facilities for detainees. So, it is a prison that is almost considered a camping ground, compared to the security of other prisons in the country, and if you look at the vast majority of people held there, they are mainly characters from the world of politics, former high-ranking state officials, elected local officials, so they are characters of this level.

The footage showed how the escape was carried out, which made the situation seem almost ridiculous, making it seem like a dramatic situation as it should be. All other elements prove that we are dealing with a very problematic system, a rotten system, which has created all the facilities for a character like Altin Ndoci, who after almost five years in prison is given a second chance at life and from a detainee who was at risk of being sentenced to life imprisonment, for at least involving the loss of four human lives and the serious injury of a fifth person, he has the opportunity to leave with the greatest ease from the detention system that Albania has and now be a free citizen. All this makes the situation problematic, because in the case when you are dealing with characters who come from the world of crime of this level, who although has not yet been convicted, therefore does not have a final sentence against him, but was under investigation by SPAK and happened in the security measure by a decision of the Special Court. Could such a character be in a prison of this level? Who is this person? What profile does he have, what is he accused of, what connections does he have? All these elements make you suspect that this person, the first thing should not be there , "the journalist said. /CNA
