Former prosecutor Eugen Beçi, on the show "The Unexposed", spoke about the lawsuit filed by Mayor Erion Veliaj against the special prosecutor, Ols Dado, at the Administrative Court.

Beçi said that the defendant's involvement in the appointment of the prosecutor is a completely personal aspect that, in terms of the defense strategy, leads nowhere. Regarding the appointment of Dado, the former prosecutor stated that the presidential decree for the appointment has passed through several constitutional filters.

Further, Beçi stated that at the time Ols Dado took legal action against Veliaj, he was a prosecutor and the mayor's lawsuit, which was arrested on 13 charges, the former prosecutor sees as a battle with windmills.

 

 

" Every defendant in the Republic of Albania must understand that he is facing the prosecution and the Constitution, and every person who represents the prosecution represents the accusation. When the prosecutor enters the courtroom, he does not represent the wrath of his father, but the accusation of the state. Urging the defendants to see whether the prosecutor in office was appointed according to the law or not is a completely personal aspect and does not lead anywhere in the defense strategy. The other fact is that the decree of the President of the Republic has passed through several constitutional filters such as the KLP, KPA and KPK that begin the verification from the appointment. Invalidities have certain time limits when they can be raised. Murder is prescribed, not an appointment to office. The fact that you can create a process for him and say that I have created absolute invalidity does not mean that they can nullify his actions. What is important is that according to the law, the prosecutor is appointed in law, according to the law. He was a prosecutor when he did the actions and it seems to me like a battle with the mills "of the wind," said former prosecutor Beçi.
