"Maritime tourism is not just for the rich"/ Klosi to the opposition:

The draft law "On an amendment to Law No. 9710, dated 10.4.2007 "On tourist ports in the Republic of Albania", as amended", is being discussed in the plenary session of the Parliament.

During his speech, SP MP Blendi Klosi addressed the opposition, describing it as an opponent of the development of marine tourism.

Among other things, Klosi said that the sea and maritime tourism do not serve only a few people but all Albanians. He added that small ports, or piers, will develop a mechanism that, according to him, is missing in Albanian tourism.

"You do not have a new policy that opposes the development of maritime tourism, because in your time the sea was the enemy. In 2013, it was thought that the sea was part of navigation. It was you who were against the country's tourist development. You were in long debates. You opposed support for hotels. Today the Albanian fleet has become a competitive fleet in the region. The sea and maritime tourism are not just for the rich, they are for everyone. They develop a mechanism that was missing in Albanian tourism. Here a strategic investor is required, which has existed since your time, because you have made it an enemy. A strategic investor who invests in maritime tourism does not necessarily have to have large yacht ports, but dozens of small ports for small anchorages are needed. These are very necessary for this world that we want to build. We must start because we are far behind in preparing the army that must work for this expensive industry. You must help development and oppose an investor who "It is building a small port. Why are you opposing it, where is the harm? Don't keep these thoughts in your head yet. The sea is a golden opportunity for the development of elite tourism in Albania ," said Klosi. /CNA
